Universal Reader FAQs
   
Q: Why does my system hang at the Windows Shutdown Screen?  
A: First, make sure the USB cable is disconnected from the USB.  Next, go to the Control Panel, and click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Look for the Iomega Tools for Windows 95, and highlight the Iomega Tools. Click on the ADD/REMOVE TAB, and this will remove the tools. Restart the system. This will not have any effect on the reader or the Iomega Zip drive.
   
Q: How and where do I insert the SmartMedia card?  
A: Look on the front of the reader under the larger PCMCIA slot, and you will see the thin slot for the SmartMedia card. Then insert the card with the gold inlays facing downward.
   
Q: Why Doesn't Windows NT support USB?
A: Windows NT 4.0 does not have USB capability, however Windows 2000 will incorporate the support for USB devices.
   
Q: I have a Memory Stick how do I get it to work with the Universal Serial Bus Reader?
A: You would need to get a Sony PC-Card adapter model MSAC-PC1 for the device to work with the Universal Serial Bus Reader.
   
Q: How do I access my images?
A:
  1. Double click on 'My Computer' or open Windows Explorer.
  2. Look for a new 'Removable Disk' drives Icon.
  3. The Pictures are in a folder inside this drive.
  4. Copy the pictures to a folder on you Hard Disk or other storage device.
   
Q:  The USB Universal Serial Bus Reader displays two "REMOVABLE DRIVE'S" can I copy from one removable drive to the other removable drive?
A: Yes
Example: Select the files in the removable drive click on EDIT select COPY. Then go to the other removable drive open it, go to EDIT select PASTE the files will be copied over.
