Lexar Media and FlashRite Agree to Collaborate in Delivery of Content for Flash Media

Collaboration will enable third-party content to be loaded and secured on Lexar USB flash drives and memory cards

Fremont and Milpitas, CA, January, 7, 2009 -- Lexar Media, a leading global provider of memory products for digital media, and Flashrite, Inc., a leader in flash memory customization and duplication services, today announced their intention to collaborate to produce content-enriched flash media. The collaboration will focus on enabling technology to secure content on flash media so that it cannot be inappropriately duplicated or altered.

The relationship will be focused on enabling Lexar Media and FlashRite to mutually develop and deliver third-party content on Lexar® USB flash drives and memory cards. FlashRite will promote Lexar products to content providers looking to distribute their product on flash media. In addition, FlashRite will make its content duplication services available to enable Lexar to offer added-value content on its flash memory products marketed through Lexar's retail and mobile channel partners. FlashRite will also directly market Lexar products with added-value content to its own customers.

Lexar Media and FlashRite will work together to further develop specialized technology that secures third-party digital content-everything from music to video entertainment, gaming software, application software, mobile applications, and PC applications. FlashRite's services and capabilities are focused on ensuring that the content loaded on each USB flash drive or memory card is kept safe from improper access or use.
