| Q: |
Can I re-format my media card within the Lexar Digital Film Reader? |
| A: |
SmartMedia and CompactFlash
cards can be formatted with the reader. The process is the same as formatting

from the pop-up menu. Windows will then display the Format dialog which
will let you format the card. (NOTE: It is not recommended to re-format
a card unless it is necessary. Some devices may require a specific format
which the factory puts on the card. For more information please contact

| Q: |
How do I know when the card in the reader is being accessed or not? |
| A:
|
The installation
software for the Lexar Digital Film Reader installs a utility called "LED
Tray" which animates when the card is being accessed. By default, this LED
Tray is displayed automatically when Windows starts up. The LED Tray icon
will blink between red and green while the card is being accessed. The LED
Tray application also displays a green "X" over itself if there is no card
present or the card is not recognized, and a red "X" if the Reader unit
itself is not attached or not recognized. |
