Shoot and Share Image Editing Software FAQs
Q: How do I install Shoot & Share?
A: To install Shoot & Share, locate the executable file that was downloaded, and double click on it.  Follow the instructions that appear in the installation process.  When prompted for a registration number, enter the number found with the CD.

Q: How do I upload my picture to Printroom.com?
A: To upload a picture to Printroom.com, you first need to log-in or create a Printroom.com account.  (You can create a new account by clicking on  File - Photos at Printroom - Account Settings and then click on Create a New Printroom account).  First, select the pictures you wish to upload (you may select more than one by holding the shift key).  Then click the button with the picture of a mailbox in the top left hand corner.  If it prompts you to log into your account, do so, and click the ok button.  Choose the album you want to upload to, or create a new album, and click ok.

Q: How do I edit pictures?
A: There are two main ways to edit a picture with Shoot & Share.  In the thumbnail view, you can rotate the picture by using the arrow buttons on the menu bar, or right clicking on the picture and going to “quick process.”  To use the image editor, double click on the picture, and features like cropping, red-eye removal, photo enhancement, as well as many others are available to you.

Q: How do I email pictures?
A: Select the picture by either clicking on it, or double clicking it.  Then click on the Send Email Feature on the menu bar, which is the button with the envelope on it.  Follow the on-screen instructions if prompted.  Then enter the email address you want to send the picture to, and send the message.

A: Yes you can, in the viewer/editor, click on image, then filter, and then select filter. From there you can choose the filter and view the changes in the windows.

Q: Can Shoot & Share print multiple thumbnails like a contact sheet?
A: Yes you can print a contact sheet by choosing “Print Index” from the file menu.

Troubleshooting Questions
Q: When I swap CF cards in my reader, I cannot see the folders and images from the new card, but I see the folders of my old card?
A: You need to refresh the folder list.  Press Ctrl-F5, or right click on the drive, and click on Refresh Tree and your thumbnails will appear.

Q: I get an error messages saying that I am missing odbc32.dll, and Shoot & Share will not run.
A: You must download the Shoot & Share version for Windows 98.

Q: I cannot upload directly to the printroom.com shopping cart when using Internet Explorer.
A: You need to delete your printroom.com cookies.  To do this go to your cookies folder (c:\windows\cookies) and delete any cookie that has “printroom” anywhere in the file name.

Q:
I’m trying to email a picture to a friend using hotmail, but when I log on, and the message appears, the file is not attached.
A: The file may be too large to attach to a Hotmail account.  The size limit of hotmail file attachment is around 1.5MB.  You can make the image smaller by resizing the picture in the image editor.

Q: I inserted my digital film into my JumpShot Cable, and Shoot & Share does not automatically run.
A: Make sure that autostart is enabled.  To do this, click on the Shoot & Share tray icon, usually located by the system clock, and make sure that the line “Autostart Enabled” is checked.  If there is no icon, click on the Start Menu, and Find the Shoot & Share folder, and click on Shoot & Share autostart.
